This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Actively contribute as a member of the software development team within an Agile framework.
• Engage in routine meetings and ceremonies, including Daily Stand Ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews and Demos, Retrospectives, and Risk meetings.
• Leverage full-stack development skills in .Net web applications using C#, along with Unit testing, NUnit testing techniques, and deployment through CI/CD pipelines.
• Design, develop, and/or resolve issues in a web-based application that employs cloud-native services and architecture.
• Create metadata-driven solutions to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Provide necessary development support for solutions deployed in production.
• Implement long-term solutions and foundational elements within the agile framework to enhance reusability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather project requirements.
• Promote and apply best practices in software engineering, including test automation, modularization, and simplification.
• Collaborate with colleagues to address various challenges and develop solutions.
• Document software designs, potentially including design diagrams, data flow diagrams, and software module descriptions.
• Utilize Integrated Development Environment (IDE) tools such as Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and GIT.
• Demonstrate comfort with Windows Operating systems and environments.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science with at least 10 years of software development experience.
• Capability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust requiring U.S. citizenship.
• Experience in system design and development within the Microsoft .NET environment.
• Strong proficiency with .Net Core, Angular, and Razor.
• Demonstrated experience in applying software design patterns (e.g., CQRS, Mediator, Adapter, Factory, Singleton, and other Gang-of-Four patterns) in C# to build clean, scalable, and maintainable application architectures.
• Deep understanding of application security principles and practical experience implementing industry standards such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT for authentication and authorization.
• Experience in REST and SOAP API development.
• Familiarity with XML and JSON.
• Experience utilizing Azure Services.
• Knowledge of section 508 and accessibility coding techniques.
• Proficient with MS SQL Server databases and the ability to write complex SQL queries.
• Experience with Agile development practices in Azure DevOps and cloud-based pipelines.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in team environments across diverse projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Proactive problem-solving approach and a focus on delivery.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
• Regular involvement in Design and Code Reviews, as well as System updates using agile development processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Capacity to work in a team setting with developers of varying skill sets.
