Senior Full Stack Engineer – Payments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Develop across the payments platform, encompassing the embeddable SDK, payment services, tokenization boundaries, webhooks, and reconciliation processes.

• Create hosted-fields integration featuring iframe isolation and a gateway-agnostic API.

• Design client-side state management for handling declines, 3DS, retries, and timeouts.

• Construct session intent and gateway routing services.

• Implement tokenization boundaries, idempotency, HMAC-signed request flows, webhook logic, and reconciliation mechanisms.

• Oversee platform versioning and deprecation while ensuring live merchants remain unaffected.

• Ensure observability throughout the payment path.

• Enhance the developer experience for engineers integrating with the platform.

• Collaborate directly with product and client stakeholders.

• Clarify requirements, promptly address ambiguities, challenge incorrect methodologies, and deliver independent, high-quality outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in developing production software across both frontend and backend.

• Proficient in React and TypeScript.

• Knowledgeable in rendering behavior, state boundaries, effect lifecycles, and component API design.

• Strong backend engineering capabilities with .NET and React as the primary technology stack.

• Ability to design services, understand API contracts, debug throughout the stack, and participate in architectural discussions.

• Experience with payment systems, including gateway APIs, tokenization, hosted fields, webhooks, reconciliation, or similar correctness-critical domain experience.

• Understanding of security fundamentals such as same-origin policy, CSP, CORS, XSS vectors, iframe isolation, and token management.

• Daily usage of Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar agentic AI tools.

• Strong testing discipline and experience in writing tests.

• Highly preferred: experience with Java, Kotlin, and Quarkus.

• Practical experience with gateway and tokenization stacks.

• Experience with PCI DSS scope reduction and SAQ A or SAQ A-EP.

• Familiarity with 3D Secure 2 implementation.

• Exposure to Cloud and DevOps environments, specifically with Azure or AWS.

• Ownership of CI/CD processes.

• Comfort in working with incomplete specifications, evolving requirements, autonomy, and direct interaction with product/client stakeholders.
