Senior Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Create and deliver production-grade JavaScript for both front-end and back-end digital privacy solutions utilizing React and related toolchains.

• Design and implement backend services and APIs using Go (Golang).

• Deploy and manage highly available and scalable Enterprise SaaS applications on AWS within a DevOps framework.

• Take ownership of the application lifecycle, encompassing coding, automated testing, deployment, and operational management.

• Engage in on-call rotations through PagerDuty.

• Utilize software design patterns to tackle complex engineering challenges.

• Collaborate on multiple projects and product initiatives.

• Work alongside Product teams to identify problems, explore root causes, and suggest actionable solutions.

• Mentor colleagues, provide constructive feedback, and foster team resilience.

• Interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Deliver and oversee medium-to-large tasks that span various systems, including planning, estimation, risk assessment, and progress updates.

• Assess and prioritize tasks while evaluating engineering commitments.

• Grasp the team’s domain and its role in Virtru’s overarching business strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in JavaScript development, including Node.js and/or React.

• Expertise in Go (Golang) for developing scalable backend services and APIs.

• Proven experience in deploying and managing high-availability, scalable Enterprise SaaS applications in a DevOps setting.

• Strong knowledge of software design patterns.

• Experience in building and deploying applications utilizing AWS or GCP cloud infrastructure.

• Familiarity with Docker in development, testing, and deployment processes.

• Experience with Agentic AI workflows and associated tools.

• Ability to respectfully challenge colleagues and managers in the pursuit of excellence.

• A strong sense of urgency and a proactive mindset.

• Capacity to collaborate and adjust to changing priorities.

• Comfortable with asynchronous communication via Slack, email, Zoom, and similar platforms.
