Senior Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive features spanning both backend (ledger, routing services) and frontend (React-based UI).

• Implement and enhance production-quality APIs, data models, and integrations for a high-throughput financial system.

• Take ownership of the entire feature lifecycle: from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and ensuring ongoing reliability in production.

• Work closely with the VP of Engineering, founders, and fellow engineers to convert product requirements into technical designs and delivery strategies.

• Enhance the performance, scalability, and observability of the platform through profiling, tuning, and improved monitoring.

• Contribute to engineering standards, participate in code reviews, and engage in technical decision-making within a dynamic startup environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in building high-throughput, distributed backend systems; you recognize the distinction between “working” and “production-grade.”

• Strong backend expertise in Python (FastAPI preferred), Go, or Java.

• Proficient in modern frontend technologies (e.g., React) with the capability to create complex, data-rich interfaces.

• Comprehensive understanding of contemporary database design; expertise in Postgres and Redis is highly advantageous.

• Practical experience with cloud-native environments (preferably GCP), containers, and Kubernetes.

• In-depth knowledge of distributed systems principles: microservices, idempotency, retry/backoff strategies, and eventual consistency.

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and high-volume queues (e.g., Kafka, Redis Streams) and caching layers.

• You prioritize observability in your builds: metrics, tracing, and logging, and are adept at using modern monitoring solutions.
