This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Design and develop essential features of our solutions.
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines, incorporating Infrastructure as Code and empowering developers.
• Implement and deploy AI agents in production environments.
• Maintain high coding and testing standards.
• Take charge of the complete solution design for new features within a specified architectural framework.
• Make informed decisions regarding trade-offs (scope, performance, scalability, security) in a dynamic environment.
• Assume responsibility for intricate or high-impact tasks, particularly where architecture, integrations, or performance matters are complex.
• Produce high-quality, testable code and enhance our continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Design and enhance dependable CI/CD pipelines, resilience, observability, and security within AWS (e.g., CDK, Terraform) using workflows such as GitHub Actions and GitLab CI.
• Oversee AWS resources and manage deployments of containerized applications via Docker.
• Develop and sustain a scalable infrastructure utilizing Terraform (CDK within AWS).
• Contribute to the evolution of our platform architecture for improved performance, resilience, observability, and security as we grow.
• Identify and promote enhancements to developer experience, tools, and internal processes (e.g., testing, release, monitoring, on-call), collaborating with both in-house and outsourced engineers.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (e.g., a reputable coding bootcamp) or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, shipping, and maintaining backend applications in Python and front-end web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (preferably React.js), including operating at a senior level.
• Strong production-level DevOps experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
• Experience with both Python and React, along with some background in AWS hosting/back-end services.
• Extensive experience using agentic coding tools.
• Proficient in designing, building, and maintaining automated tests and contributing to CI pipelines.
• Collaborated with other developers in an agile setting (e.g., sprints, stand-ups, retrospectives).
• Experienced in troubleshooting and resolving live incidents in time-sensitive situations, and in enhancing systems/processes to prevent recurrences.
• Familiarity with continuous deployment pipelines (you don’t have to build everything yourself, but should be comfortable working within and improving these setups).
• Strong grasp of industry trends and development best practices, particularly in relation to security, application performance, and scalability.
• Exhibits a strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while possessing a team-oriented work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and collaboration, with confidence in interacting with customers and partners in a technical leadership role.
• Proactive in initiating improvements and offering assistance without being prompted.
• Comfortable using AI code development tools.
