Senior Full-Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• In this position, you will concentrate on the design, implementation, and advancement of full-stack architectures utilizing NestJS and React, hosted on AWS.

• You will engage in technical discussions and play a key role in ensuring that solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable.

• Your involvement will span all phases of product development, covering front-end implementation, API design, database modeling, infrastructure, and deployment processes.

• Daily responsibilities will include architecting scalable front-end and back-end systems, developing and fine-tuning APIs, creating intricate UI components, defining database schemas, enhancing CI/CD pipelines, conducting code reviews, and proactively identifying areas for performance, reliability, and security improvements across the entire system.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on Full-Stack Engineering.

• Demonstrated expertise in NestJS and React, or comparable JavaScript-based frameworks, with the capability to make architectural decisions for both front-end and back-end systems.

• Profound understanding of software architecture, system design, and engineering best practices.

• Significant experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.

• Solid knowledge of databases, including schema design, performance optimization, and data integrity practices (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).

• Experience in optimizing data flow across the stack, including API design, caching strategies, and front-end rendering performance.

• Good grasp of front-end architecture patterns, state management, performance optimization, and component-driven development in React.

• Proficiency in unit, integration, and end-to-end testing for both front-end and back-end.

• Extensive experience with Git workflows and collaborative development in multi-branch settings.

• Familiarity with agentic AI tools (such as Claude Code or Cursor) as an integral part of your development process.

• Excellent command of English and Portuguese (both written and spoken).
