Senior Full-Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Designing and developing comprehensive product features that span backend services and our React frontend.

• Creating well-organized, testable backend services alongside clean, reusable frontend components, focusing on performance, usability, and long-term maintainability.

• Contributing to a multi-stack production environment by thoughtfully enhancing existing systems while aiding in the evolution of the overall architecture.

• Modeling domains, establishing boundaries, and participating in architectural decisions that ensure system coherence as it scales.

• Leveraging AI tools to expedite development while reviewing, validating, and refining generated code prior to its deployment.

• Taking ownership of tasks beyond feature delivery, including CI/CD, observability, performance, and production behavior.

• Engaging in code reviews and technical discussions with an emphasis on clarity, trade-offs, and engineering judgment.

• Enhancing reliability, security, and operational robustness as the platform expands.

• Elevating the engineering standards through constructive feedback, pragmatic decision-making, and continuous improvement instead of drastic rewrites.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong full-stack engineering expertise – Extensive backend knowledge in Java, Node.js, or another modern stack, complemented by proficient React + TypeScript abilities. You are equally adept at building services and the UI that interfaces with them.

• AI-augmented engineering – You seamlessly integrate AI tools into your workflow to expedite development and explore solutions more efficiently. However, you maintain robust engineering judgment, reviewing, challenging, and refining AI-generated code before it goes live. AI enhances your thinking rather than replaces it.

• Engineering fundamentals over frameworks – You approach system design, data modeling, trade-offs, and long-term maintainability as core tenets. Languages and frameworks are simply tools, not your identity.

• Multi-stack pragmatism – Our platform encompasses Java, Node, React, and some legacy PHP systems. You are comfortable navigating real-world production environments and incrementally improving systems as architecture evolves.

• Architectural maturity – You comprehend boundaries, contracts, invariants, and how localized decisions affect the overall coherence of the system over time.

• Production ownership – You are at ease with CI/CD, containerization, cloud environments (AWS), and observability, taking responsibility for code beyond mere merging.
