Senior Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance full-stack features utilizing Go, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Redis.

• Leverage AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor in daily development, while ensuring accountability for accuracy, security, and design integrity.

• Build internal tools and testing frameworks, including agent-driven workflows and skills for wider team utilization.

• Oversee the testing strategy for both frontend and backend code.

• Create and utilize REST and WebSocket APIs.

• Uphold security and compliance standards necessary for government and enterprise clients.

• Contribute to the open-source codebase of Mattermost.

• Deliver full-stack core-platform features within the first 90 days by employing an AI-centric workflow.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven full-stack development experience with Go and React, or a similar technology stack.

• Proficient in designing and utilizing REST and WebSocket APIs, with a solid understanding of networking principles.

• Experience with relational databases, including PostgreSQL, schema design, and query optimization.

• Daily hands-on experience directing AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot for tasks like scaffolding, refactoring, code reviews, and test generation.

• Ability to evaluate AI-generated outputs and take responsibility for accuracy, security, and design choices.

• Capability to deliver and manage intricate software projects end-to-end with minimal supervision.

• Candidates must have legal authorization to work in Canada without current or future sponsorship.

• Candidates must fulfill eligibility criteria for potential government security clearance or equivalent designation.

• Nice to have: experience with distributed systems or architectures designed for high availability.

• Nice to have: knowledge of security requirements in enterprise or regulated environments.

• Nice to have: a background in defense, intelligence, or critical infrastructure products.

• Nice to have: contributions to open-source projects.

• Nice to have: experience collaborating on distributed or remote-first teams.

• Nice to have: experience in developing tools, skills, or workflows utilizing AI coding agents, including MCP servers, agent skills, or CI-integrated agents.
