Senior Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborating with your team to develop new features aimed at our most impactful enterprise customers.

• Contributing to initiatives focused on scaling the platform.

• Regularly meeting with Product and Design teams to refine requirements.

• Participating in agile ceremonies to assist your team in planning and executing their tasks.

• Working across squads to enhance Engineering practices at Calendly.

• Reviewing implementation plans and pull requests from fellow team members.

• Mentoring and providing guidance to other team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7-10 years of professional software development experience in a SaaS or technology-oriented setting.

• Strong, practical full-stack engineering abilities, capable of independently designing, building, and deploying production changes across both frontend and backend systems.

• Experience in building and maintaining Node.js services that interact with distributed APIs, LLMs, or similar mixed-stack environments.

• Hands-on experience with Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA), microservices, and participation in modernization or large-scale refactoring initiatives from monoliths to services.

• Proven track record of owning features end-to-end, encompassing technical discovery, design, implementation, testing, release, and ongoing maintenance.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of dissecting complex systems, identifying root causes of issues, and delivering scalable, maintainable solutions.

• A commitment to writing clean, reliable, and maintainable code, focusing on readability, simplicity, and performance.

• Ability to adapt to new technologies, evolving architectural patterns, and shifting organizational priorities.

• Experience utilizing AI coding assistants (such as Copilot, Cursor, etc.) as productivity tools, with a solid understanding of generated code and the ability to justify implementation choices.

• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation, ensuring prompt and effective responses to critical production issues outside regular working hours.

• Authorized to work lawfully in the United States, as Calendly currently does not provide immigration sponsorship.
