This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.
• Create and sustain React/TypeScript components.
• Develop and manage backend services utilizing Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.
• Design clear and typed contracts for APIs and MCP tools using TypeScript along with schema validation.
• Build and integrate REST APIs and both internal and third-party services.
• Author and uphold unit and integration tests.
• Diagnose and resolve issues throughout the application stack.
• Engage in code reviews and adhere to internal conventions for reuse, security, and testing.
• Collaborate with backend teams on API contracts, data models, and integration architecture.
• Incorporate AI coding agents into the development workflow.
• Contribute to the advancement of AI Copilot and AI Agent functionalities.
• Over 4 years of experience with Node.js and Express.
• More than 2 years of professional experience in React and TypeScript.
• Solid TypeScript fundamentals, encompassing generics, utility types, type narrowing, and typed API contracts.
• Profound understanding of MCP principles.
• Experience in developing AI agents.
• Proficient in designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Strong comprehension of asynchronous JavaScript, including Promises, async/await, and error handling.
• Familiarity with schema validation libraries like Zod or similar.
• Knowledge of Jest, component testing, mocking, and integration testing methodologies.
• Understanding of essential web security concepts, such as CORS, CSRF, input validation, secrets management, and OWASP fundamentals.
• Exposure to Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI agent tooling, LLM tool/function calling, or the development of LLM-facing APIs.
• Practical experience with AI coding agents like Codex or Claude Code for code generation, refactoring, testing, and debugging.
• Familiarity with AWS Bedrock.
• Previous experience in fintech or financial systems.
• Experience managing sensitive customer or financial data.
• Knowledge of AWS services and production cloud environments.
• Experience with Docker.
• Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger and API contract documentation.
• Awareness of observability tools, structured logging, metrics, and production debugging.
• Understanding of API reliability patterns such as retries, timeouts, rate limiting, and idempotency.
• Experience in designing tools or APIs specifically for LLM agents.
• Experience in evaluating or troubleshooting AI-agent workflows and tool calls.
