Senior Frontend Developer – Shopify Plus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Build and migrate brand stores on Shopify Plus, integrating them with the core layer via API and webhooks.

• Development and theming for the four brand stores.

• Migration from PrestaShop to Shopify Plus while preserving the user experience.

• Utilize catalog and pricing information from the core through Admin API / Storefront API and webhooks.

• Replace Shopify's native search with a search experience that queries the core layer's search engine.

• Configure and integrate payment gateways in Shopify Plus with proper reflection in the checkout process.

• Focus on performance and Core Web Vitals; ensure responsive and accessible layouts; collaborate using Git in a distributed team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven senior experience in Shopify Plus (not just standard Shopify).

• Expertise in theming using Liquid, Online Store 2.0, Admin API, Storefront API, and webhooks.

• Experience in e-commerce migrations (preferably from PrestaShop) with large catalogs.

• Integration of a customized search experience against an external search engine.

• Experience in integrating payment gateways in Shopify Plus and configuring the checkout process.

• Proficiency in modern JavaScript, advanced HTML/CSS, and integration with REST/GraphQL APIs.

• Experience with decoupled/headless stores that consume catalog, pricing, and search from external systems.

• Web performance optimization (Core Web Vitals), responsive and accessible layouts.

• Self-sufficient as a senior freelance profile with experience in version control.
