Senior Frontend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create web and mobile applications utilizing contemporary frontend technologies with a focus on maintainability, reusability, and user experience.

• Evaluate the code generated by the team.

• Engage in the technical specification process for new features.

• Guarantee code quality through unit and integration testing.

• Leverage AI tools like Claude and Copilot to enhance delivery speed, conduct code reviews, and troubleshoot issues.

• Act as the technical authority for the Admin interfaces utilized by Caju's internal operators.

• Design and advance the Admin frontend in React and TypeScript, covering components, state management, routing, performance, and accessibility.

• Establish and maintain UI standards as well as a reusable component library in collaboration with Product Design.

• Evaluate frontend deliverables from domain teams, advising on component, architecture, and performance standards.

• Determine if interface-related requests align with the Admin's scope.

• Define API contracts with the backend and contribute Node.js code as needed.

• Participate in CI/CD pipelines and AI-assisted frontend reviews.

• Oversee observability, production errors, perceived performance, and Core Web Vitals; take responsibility for interface-related incidents.

• Ensure automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing alongside robust security and privacy practices.

• Draft and promote frontend RFCs and plan smaller releases using feature flags.

• Minimize complexity and technical debt in current interfaces.

• Comprehend business and operational rules to develop interfaces that minimize effort and errors.

• Produce technical documentation regarding components, architecture, and contribution guidelines.

• Mentor Mid-Level and Junior Engineers and engage in recruitment efforts.

• Collaborate closely with the Tech Lead, Tech Manager, Product Manager, and Product Design.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer, primarily focused on frontend development and familiar with complex web applications in production.

• Advanced skills in React and TypeScript, including experience with medium- and large-scale application architecture, state management, and component organization.

• Strong understanding of frontend design patterns and the ability to detect design flaws in third-party code.

• Experience in building or maintaining design systems and reusable component libraries.

• Knowledge of interface performance, including profiling, rendering optimization, load performance, and accessibility.

• Proficient in automated frontend testing utilizing tools such as Jest, Testing Library, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.

• Familiarity with consuming REST APIs and implementing authentication using OAuth and JWT; basic knowledge of Node.js for backend collaboration.

• Experience with CI/CD, frontend observability using Sentry, Datadog RUM, or similar tools, and feature-flag rollout strategies.

• Regular use of AI assistants in software development, such as Claude Code, Claude Agent SDK, or equivalent, with sound judgment in reviewing and validating generated code, taking technical responsibility for production quality.

• Eagerness to understand the business structure, core operations, and the roles of individuals using the Admin platform.

• Interest in high-pressure work interfaces involving large data volumes and critical actions, with an emphasis on clarity and error prevention.

• Ability to engage with Product Managers, Product Design, Operations, and domain teams, grasping the problem before suggesting solutions.

• Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation abilities.

• Critical thinking skills and the capability to question requests and proposed solutions.

• Ability to persuade others and foster consensus around frontend standards.

• Technical ownership of frontend decisions, escalating issues to the Tech Lead and Tech Manager as required.

• Nice to have: experience with Angular; Node.js and TypeScript backend development; CI/CD pipelines; AI prompts or agents; experience with back-office products; knowledge of fintech, payment methods, or card issuers; familiarity with tools like Storybook, Figma, Jira, Notion, Sentry, or similar.
