Senior Front-End Agentic AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the comprehensive front-end experience for a large-scale Agentic AI platform.

• Create user-friendly interfaces that simplify complex AI reasoning into trustworthy experiences for engineers.

• Develop and sustain conversational interfaces, embedded AI assistants, review workflows, and authoring experiences utilizing React, TypeScript, and contemporary front-end technologies.

• Construct the rendering pipeline for streaming AI responses, markdown, source citations, code blocks, dependency graphs, workflow visualizations, and technical documentation.

• Establish evidence and traceability experiences that empower users to validate AI-generated responses by accessing source code, documentation, and supporting artifacts directly.

• Design interaction patterns for agentic workflows, encompassing multi-step reasoning, tool execution, progress visualization, human-in-the-loop review, and long-duration AI tasks.

• Create responsive, real-time user experiences through the use of WebSockets, streaming APIs, and modern state management techniques.

• Work closely with AI engineers to determine how agent output is converted into user-friendly experiences.

• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, architects, and platform engineers to quickly prototype, validate, and deliver new functionalities.

• Develop scalable component libraries and reusable design systems that facilitate future platform expansion.

• Enhance performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and usability across enterprise environments, ensuring compliance with Section 508.

• Integrate the application with analytics, observability, and client-side monitoring to continuously enhance user experience.

• Leverage AI-native engineering workflows to expedite development, enhance software quality, and boost engineering velocity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

• Over 7 years of professional experience in front-end software engineering, specifically in building production web applications.

• Expert-level knowledge of React, TypeScript, modern JavaScript, and contemporary front-end architecture.

• Experience in creating highly interactive, data-rich user interfaces.

• Strong comprehension of component architecture, state management, and scalable front-end engineering.

• Proven experience in building real-time user experiences utilizing streaming APIs, WebSockets, or Server-Sent Events.

• Proficient in consuming complex REST, GraphQL, tRPC, or similar typed APIs.

• Experience collaborating closely with backend engineers, designers, and product teams in Agile settings.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate technical decisions to both engineering and business stakeholders.

• Possess a product engineer mindset rather than that of a feature developer.

• Engineers who can construct software from foundational principles.

• A strong passion for usability, interaction design, and developer experience.

• Ability to thoroughly analyze requirements prior to coding.

• Preference for ownership of responsibilities rather than narrowly defined roles.

• Experience working across the client/server boundary when necessary.

• Expertise in utilizing AI coding assistants, parallel agents, and model-driven development workflows.

• Maintain efficiency while upholding high engineering standards.

• Natural aptitude for solving complex engineering challenges that lack straightforward solutions.
