Senior FP&A Planning Analyst, Oracle EPM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Lead the FP&A planning, forecasting, and scenario modeling processes utilizing Oracle EPM.

• Oversee planning activities that support annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term strategic plans.

• Evaluate business performance, risks, opportunities, and scenarios in collaboration with FP&A leadership.

• Design and manage FP&A planning models, financial structures, drivers, assumptions, scenarios, and business logic within Oracle EPM.

• Convert FP&A inquiries and decision-making needs into scalable, driver-based planning models.

• Collaborate with Finance Data & Analytics and IT on the configuration, development, design, testing, and deployment of Oracle Cloud EPM Planning.

• Act as the finance functional owner throughout the delivery and enhancement of the planning cycle.

• Create and maintain financial calculations, planning logic, and business rules in Oracle EPM.

• Specify data requirements, reconciliation logic, controls, and validation rules; ensure data quality, auditability, and traceability.

• Establish governance for planning, version control, and assumption management.

• Transition high-value Excel-based planning processes into governed Oracle EPM solutions.

• Facilitate FP&A working sessions, review model outputs, mentor analysts, and ensure alignment with finance best practices.

• Coordinate with IT, Finance Data & Analytics, and external partners while maintaining ownership of FP&A assumptions, logic, and outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Generally requires eight years of experience in financial or accounting systems support.

• Desired experience in change management, process analysis, systems implementation, administration, auditing, and financial reporting.

• Proven experience leading at least one complete Oracle EPM Planning implementation, including design, build, testing, and deployment.

• Familiarity with implementing rolling forecasts and long-range planning solutions within Oracle EPM Planning or similar enterprise planning platforms.

• Strong expertise in designing driver-based planning models, including scenarios, versions, and alignment across planning cycles.

• Ability to convert business requirements into system solutions and act as a functional liaison between finance users, IT, and implementation partners.

• Experience in designing scalable, integrated planning models within a single EPM environment.

• Background in replacing complex Excel-based planning models with governed, auditable EPM solutions.

• Capability to support planning users through training, documentation, and continuous improvement.

• Experience working with system integrators or consulting partners during EPM implementations.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States and not require current or future employment visa sponsorship.
