This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Collaborate directly with engineering, security, and platform teams to gain insights into system architectures, constraints, and operational realities.
• Design and implement integrations between Gray Swan’s platform and client systems, APIs, data pipelines, and runtime environments.
• Convert real-world enterprise needs into well-defined proofs of concept, deployment strategies, and production architectures.
• Serve as the primary technical lead for customer deployments, swiftly identifying, scoping, and addressing issues across various environments.
• Develop and enhance backend services, integrations, and tools to facilitate secure deployment in diverse customer settings.
• Ensure that deployments align with enterprise standards for reliability, security, observability, and maintainability.
• Rapidly create proofs of concept to assess technical feasibility and customer value.
• Adapt based on user feedback, operational insights, and changing requirements.
• Balance the need for speed with long-term maintainability and platform consistency.
• Collaborate closely with sales, product, and core engineering teams to ensure successful customer outcomes.
• Clearly communicate technical insights, trade-offs, and recommendations to both internal teams and clients.
• Practical experience in building and deploying production-quality software systems.
• Strong foundation in backend or full-stack software engineering, with experience in designing APIs, services, and integrations.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and distributed systems, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proven experience in dynamic, fast-paced environments while taking full responsibility for outcomes.
• Comfortable collaborating directly with customers and external stakeholders for technical delivery.
• Strong programming skills in Python and at least one systems or backend-oriented language (e.g., Go, Java, C++, Rust).
• Experience with data pipelines, event-driven systems, or service-oriented architectures.
• Knowledge of security fundamentals, including authentication, authorization, monitoring, and secure system design.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
