This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Take ownership of FDE technical delivery for a designated group of institutional partners by designing the architecture for the entire Avalanche stack (including node/validator setup, failover procedures, interoperability, etc.) from partner requests to final outputs.
• Collaborate with the Enterprise Go-to-Market team on ongoing POCs to bridge the gap between commercial needs and production-level technical solutions.
• Represent Avalanche confidently in technical discussions with partners: engage with Directors of Engineering at financial institutions and translate specific requests into defined requirements while maintaining a strategic perspective.
• Focus on depth rather than volume — most weeks involve concentrated implementation efforts interspersed with targeted technical syncs, rather than a meeting-heavy customer success routine.
• Engage hands-on with the Avalanche stack: including AvalancheGo, EVM, Interchain Messaging, and validator infrastructure.
• Design and implement solutions that adhere to the constraints faced by regulated institutions: including KMS/HSM remote signing, audit trails, restricted-peer networking, backup/restore procedures, and firewall configurations.
• Address security assessment requests and perform technical due diligence for institutional partners.
• Contribute to and manage the developer tools and SDK surface area overseen by FDE, which supports partner deployments and the wider Avalanche ecosystem.
• Strengthen, expand, and document tools based on recurring institutional needs to ensure that each new partner benefits from an enhanced platform.
• Treat tooling and partner delivery as a unified process: insights from every engagement should feed back into the shared resources.
• Recognize when a unique partner solution should evolve into a reusable FDE asset and advocate for that transformation.
• Create and maintain runbooks, technical documentation, and the FDE Protocol Requests database (tracked in Notion).
• Accelerate the conversion timelines for subsequent regulated partners by enhancing the institutional playbook with each new engagement.
• Shadow and contribute to the most complex active engagements early on, internalizing the institutional playbook in real-time.
• Assume primary FDE responsibility for designated partners as ramp-up concludes, thereby reducing concentration risk within the team.
• Function as a credible future #2 within FDE, demonstrating mentorship, comprehensive scope ownership, and the ability to represent the function externally.
• Hands-on expertise with the Avalanche stack (or a comparable L1/L2 solution).
• Proficient in AI-driven execution, showcasing the ability to utilize modern coding assistants and intelligent tools to generate production-quality output swiftly.
• Customer-facing experience in enterprise or institutional environments; comfortable articulating technical complexity to senior engineering stakeholders in regulated financial institutions.
• Strong documentation and operational discipline: you effectively close loops, create runbooks, and maintain the essential artifacts relied upon by FDE's institutional partners.
• Instinct for pattern abstraction, recognizing when a tailored partner solution should be generalized and actively driving that productization.
• Token and Equity Package
