Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Comprehend processes, KPIs, and challenges within business areas to identify where an agent can deliver genuine value.

• Facilitate discovery sessions with business teams in a product-management role: outline the problem, target audience, desired outcome, and success metrics.

• Assist business teams in designing their agents, which includes making decisions, accessing data, integrating systems, and determining human involvement.

• Collaborate with business teams to build initial end-to-end use cases on the platform, incorporating integrations and MCP servers as needed.

• Empower business teams to develop and refine their own agents through practical sessions, clear content, and continuous support.

• Convert identified gaps, trends, and opportunities into actionable product insights for the Product Manager.

• Oversee agents in production to assess adoption rates, impact, response quality, and cost efficiency.

• Partner with AI Engineers and developers on more intricate builds.

• Initially lead a specific end-to-end use case, then mentor business teams, promote knowledge sharing, and contribute to the platform's advancement.

• Capability to swiftly grasp business operations and communicate effectively with leaders of non-technical teams.

• A product-oriented mindset, with an emphasis on impact-based prioritization and the ability to discern when an agent may not be suitable.

• Excellent communication skills to explain, convince, and educate without relying on technical terminology.

• Prior experience in delivering AI-centric training and advocacy.

• Independence to collaborate across teams, inquire, and manage uncertainty.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience implementing AI solutions in business settings and deploying LLM-based applications in practical scenarios.

• Experience in creating and developing agents using platforms or frameworks like LangChain/LangGraph, Vercel AI SDK, OpenAI Agents SDK, Claude Agent SDK, or similar tools.

• Strong expertise in prompt engineering, tool invocation, RAG, and evaluation of responses.

• Experience in building or utilizing MCP servers (Model Context Protocol).

• Over 5 years of software development experience, including production-level code.

• Proficient in TypeScript/Node.js.

• Familiarity with REST APIs, authentication, and systems integration.

• Background in product development, consulting, or solutions engineering is advantageous.

• Experience in training or enabling non-technical teams in AI is a bonus.

• Knowledge of Flutter and/or Ruby is a plus.

• Proficiency in Spanish is beneficial; fluency in additional languages is not mandatory.
