Senior Forward Deployed AI Architect, GenAI, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Engage in the operator’s role for a duration of two to four weeks at the beginning of an engagement.

• Attain working fluency in new areas such as insurance underwriting, healthcare revenue cycles, and asset flow.

• Reconstruct business functions from foundational principles alongside operators and Forward Deployed Executives.

• Deliver production GenAI systems, encompassing LLM applications, agentic workflows, retrieval and structured-extraction pipelines, as well as additional supporting services.

• Create evaluation harnesses, establish success criteria, instrument systems, and utilize evaluations to guide design decisions.

• Produce production code across backend services, data pipelines, and AI layers.

• Implement containerized, observable, and maintainable systems on AWS or other cloud platforms as necessary.

• Integrate field insights back into Provectus blueprints.

• Collaborate with Forward Deployed Executives to meet Business Unit KPIs.

• Propel customer adoption and manage change effectively.

• Partner with customer engineers, operators, and executives.

• Define commitments and scope prior to the initiation of delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of software development experience, with significant exposure to production code and current hands-on involvement.

• Willingness to spend two to four weeks performing the operator’s tasks before commencing coding activities.

• Capacity to swiftly learn new business domains.

• Experience in deploying GenAI/LLM systems to production environments.

• Familiarity with building or owning evaluation suites for non-deterministic systems.

• Strong engineering principles and productivity in unfamiliar codebases or programming languages.

• Proficient in Python and/or TypeScript.

• Expertise in cloud-native delivery on AWS, including containers, Kubernetes/ECS, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD practices.

• Ability to engage confidently with senior business and technical stakeholders.

• Comfort with ambiguity and a sense of ownership.

• Strong foundational knowledge in AI/ML and capability to analyze model failure modes.

• Significant hands-on production experience with Claude Code/Cowork.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
