This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Development of firmware for upper limb prostheses and other related products to ensure solutions that are robust, efficient, and compliant. This may involve creating proof of concepts for new features and products, as well as investigating and fixing complex bugs that could require interdepartmental collaboration.
• Firmware development tailored for specific tools utilized in the manufacturing of prostheses.
• Conducting requirements analysis, solution design, and task decomposition for new features and products.
• Collaborating within the firmware team using a Scrum-like methodology and participating in code reviews.
• Working closely with hardware, manufacturing, mobile application, QA, and other teams to guarantee integrated and optimized solutions.
• Engaging in the design of complex embedded solutions and their architectural enhancements in line with scalable project requirements.
• Providing documentation support.
• Strong expertise in C programming.
• Experience with bare-metal and RTOS-based firmware development, including low-level device driver implementations and CLI-based build environments (Shell/Bash, Make, CMake).
• Understanding of the operational principles of MCU/CPU and their peripherals, including communication interfaces.
• Familiarity with embedded software principles and related topics such as interrupts, booting, multithreading, and multiprocessing.
• Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)-based solutions.
• Strong debugging capabilities at the system level.
• Basic understanding of electronics principles and the operation of key electronic components.
• Competence in reading and reviewing schematic diagrams.
• Ability to effectively use a soldering iron and measurement equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, power source, etc.), along with general prototyping skills.
• Proficiency in Git.
• Written and spoken English at a minimum level of B2.
