This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, test, and maintain firmware for embedded systems utilized in the robotic hand orthosis.
• Develop control logic for motors, sensors, buttons, and communication interfaces.
• Diagnose hardware-software interactions and resolve real-world system issues.
• Assist in the integration of embedded software with electronic components, mechanical systems, and higher-level software.
• Enhance firmware for reliability, responsiveness, safety, and energy efficiency.
• Establish a software testing and verification framework to ensure device safety.
• Clearly document firmware architecture, interfaces, and development choices in an organized manner.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional colleagues to swiftly test, enhance, and refine product performance.
• A minimum of a Master’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or Computer Engineering, with a focus on Embedded Firmware development.
• Practical experience in embedded firmware development and hardware-software integration.
• Proficient programming skills in C/C++.
• Experience with microcontrollers and real-time or near-real-time systems.
• Knowledge of hardware interfaces such as UART, I2C, SPI, ADC, PWM, CAN, or BLE.
