Senior FinOps Analyst, Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the visibility into cloud unit economics, which encompasses COGS, gross margin, and contribution margin according to customer and usage patterns.

• Convert infrastructure metrics into implications for revenue, margin, and pricing.

• Develop and sustain cost allocation models for each customer, ideally with automation for reliability.

• Create real-time dashboards that link usage, infrastructure costs, and profitability.

• Establish alerting and reporting mechanisms for margin declines and cost irregularities.

• Assist in pricing strategies for new features, product modifications, and packaging developments.

• Analyze the cost implications of variable customer workloads and shifting usage behaviors.

• Construct forecast models for growth scenarios, including questions like “what happens at 10× scale?”

• Aid in enterprise deal modeling and commercial negotiations with comprehensive margin insights.

• Contribute to the development of a repeatable operational framework for pricing and unit economics across teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a robust analytical background and comfort in dealing with data, cost models, and financial metrics.

• Have experience with cloud infrastructure, usage-based products, or FinOps.

• Capable of linking technical systems to business outcomes.

• Proficient in constructing dashboards, forecasts, or profitability models.

• Strong SQL proficiency; knowledge of Python or similar tools is advantageous.

• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Engineering, Product, Finance, and Sales teams.

• Maintain a structured, ownership-driven approach.

• Nice to have: Experience in pricing, monetization, or packaging; background in enterprise deal support; familiarity with SaaS, AI infrastructure, or high-variance usage settings; and knowledge of customer profitability segmentation.
