This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Serve as a finance business partner to assist program managers.
• Oversee the month-end closing procedure, including financial analysis and commentary.
• Generate financial statements and supporting documentation for external audits.
• Act as a liaison between the accounting firm and Operations regarding audit and financial compliance inquiries.
• Utilize cost accounting principles to evaluate program costs, labor, and expenses.
• Collaborate with program managers and directors to comprehend P&L impacts and define key financial metrics.
• Manage program data while performing financial analysis, forecasting, variance analysis, and reconciliations.
• Conduct budget analyses and comparisons, providing risk-mitigation recommendations.
• Model operational expenses in collaboration with program teams.
• Serve as a liaison between Operations and Corporate to investigate and respond to inquiries.
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting tasks.
• Utilize knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition to evaluate financial drivers and impacts.
• Facilitate and assist in mid-month reviews.
• Promote process enhancements and system optimizations.
• Support management initiatives, uphold confidentiality, and perform additional assigned duties.
• Over 7 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business is preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Strong foundation in cost accounting principles.
• Practical experience in preparing financial statements for external audits.
• Proven experience in managing month-end closing processes accurately and efficiently.
• Experience with government-level financial reporting is advantageous.
• Thorough understanding of ASC 606/revenue recognition and its financial implications.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Must be based in New England.
• Authorization to work in the country where the position is located without employer sponsorship or support is required.
• Completion of pre-employment checks is necessary.
