Senior Financial Analyst – Forecasting, Planning

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and continually refine comprehensive forecasting models utilizing advanced analytical methods, historical patterns, business dynamics, and established processes.

• Lead sophisticated financial analytics by consolidating KPI trends, risks, and opportunities into actionable insights and strategic suggestions for senior leadership.

• Work collaboratively across departments to collect data and provide clear, succinct reporting.

• Present findings to leadership teams.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of financial models, assumptions, and methodologies.

• Identify and promote process enhancements through automation and streamlined data workflows.

• Improve the efficiency, precision, and scalability of forecasting and reporting functions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.

• 4–5 years of experience in corporate financial programs, reporting, analytics, and impact evaluation.

• Advanced proficiency in data analysis and the development of statistical and financial data for reporting and business recommendations.

• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills utilizing Excel, Power BI, SQL, and/or Python/R.

• Experience in creating scalable forecasting solutions.

• Familiarity with financial systems and planning tools, including ERP systems and CPM platforms such as OneStream or similar.

• Understanding of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and reporting standards.

• Knowledge of statutory and GAAP accounting is preferred.

• Experience in the life insurance industry is considered advantageous.

• Strong executive communication skills.

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
