This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee the development and upkeep of financial models and forecasts: Design and maintain comprehensive models (revenue and P&L) for financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to aid in strategic planning and decision-making across multiple divisions within the Sports Talent business.
• Evaluate employment contracts and create financial models to determine employee commissions.
• Assess financial performance: Analyze financial data by comparing budgets and forecasts to actual outcomes, collaborating with various departments, including Accounting, to understand fluctuations and recognize financial risks and opportunities.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analysis to juxtapose actual financial performance against forecasts and budgets.
• Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages for Management review.
• Ad-hoc analysis and projects: Generate and prepare diverse ad-hoc reports and projects for management as required.
• Collaborate across departments: Work in close partnership with other departments (including agent teams) to gather inputs for financial models and ensure alignment with overarching company objectives and strategies.
• Process improvement: Identify, devise, and implement process modifications to enhance the efficiency of procedures and the accuracy of financial records.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting, including expertise in forecasting and budgeting.
• Proficiency in Excel, including advanced skills such as Pivot Tables and complex formulas (SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH, etc.). Knowledge of Power Query is a plus.
• Familiarity with Adaptive Insights and Office Connect is an advantage.
• Previous experience in the industry is beneficial.
• Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the capacity to identify and highlight issues that could affect analysis and decision-making.
