Senior Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +33 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in transportation initiatives and create financial forecasts.

• Conduct thorough monthly variance analysis and relay key performance drivers to senior management.

• Partner with stakeholders for weekly performance reporting, particularly for Transportation, and provide insights on shipping costs and margins.

• Cultivate relationships with the Transportation team to develop bottom-up forecasts and pinpoint risks and opportunities.

• Create and implement models and processes for new strategic transportation initiatives.

• Collaborate with the Transportation team to prepare the annual operating plan, financial budget, plans, and targets.

• Develop monthly and quarterly financial reporting presentations for investors and the board.

• Examine operational business metrics and perform margin analysis for business partners.

• Enhance financial models, procedures, files, and processes through continuous improvement and automation.

• Work with management to refine the company’s strategic approach.

• Provide solutions to meet business needs and optimize investments aligned with key company strategies.

• Engage with stakeholders throughout the company to understand objectives and support their achievement.

• Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or a related field.

• Required experience in 3PL or relevant Transportation roles.

• 3–5 years of experience in FP&A or a similar field.

• Strong financial modeling skills and comprehension of financial statements.

• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with the skill to explain complex financial concepts to diverse stakeholders.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Preferred working knowledge of NetSuite, Smartview, SQL, PowerBI, and Power Query.

• Proactive self-starter capable of meeting deadlines under time constraints while maintaining attention to detail.

• Ability to critically analyze business challenges while assimilating new knowledge and information.

• Strong commitment to accuracy and integrity.

• Capacity to excel in a dynamic startup environment and navigate through ambiguity.

• Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.

• Skilled in influencing stakeholders across the organization through strategic thinking and the execution of action plans.
