Senior Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee the planning, evaluation, and assessment of corporate initiatives.

• Analyze and suggest strategic alternatives to strengthen Ryder's market position.

• Deliver financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers.

• Conduct forecasting, business planning, and analysis of branch performance.

• Collaborate with Group Logistics Managers and Logistics Managers to identify and recommend cost and productivity enhancements.

• Execute month-end closing activities, which include journal entries, variance explanations, and general ledger research.

• Manage customer invoicing, revenue posting to the general ledger, and the monitoring of monthly aging reports.

• Provide financial training to operations personnel regarding policies, procedures, and financial tools.

• Perform operations audits as necessary for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

• Act as a liaison with Ryder's Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting group.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field.

• At least 4 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting.

• Strong comprehension of income statements and balance sheets.

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, including analysis of large data sets, VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, pivot tables, filtering options, and waterfall charts.

• Previous experience in the transportation or logistics industries is preferred.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with all levels of management.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, self-motivation, and capacity to prioritize workload.

• Aptitude for proactive and innovative thinking and planning.

• Capability to work with minimal supervision when required.

• Strong interpersonal abilities and proficiency in conveying complex financial and operational information.

• Intermediate skills in MS Word.

• Intermediate skills in MS PowerPoint.

• Familiarity with MS Access and/or other database tools is advantageous but not essential.
