This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee, pinpoint, and relay financial expense performance to business partners.
• Evaluate and authorize expense requisitions, emphasizing items that exceed budget limits.
• Establish departmental financial and project expense benchmarks along with reporting mechanisms.
• Generate ad-hoc analyses and business forecasts.
• Assist in the accounting close process and preparation of audit reports.
• Create and execute scalable processes and procedures for reporting essential business metrics.
• Identify and lead the execution of cost reduction and process enhancement initiatives.
• Collaborate with all functional teams to achieve financial and corporate objectives.
• Manage Protected Health Information (PHI), in both paper and electronic formats, in accordance with HIPAA and Natera policies.
• Complete mandatory HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance, and security training within the first 30 days of employment.
• Stay updated on all Natera training obligations.
• Operate autonomously and at full capacity from day one as a temporary maternity leave substitute.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VBA macros created from scratch, and Lookup functions.
• Strong skills in financial systems and business applications, particularly database applications; QlikView is preferred.
• Familiarity with GAAP.
• Excellent analytical abilities for addressing moderate to complex financial challenges.
• Experience supporting an R&D or Engineering organization is preferred.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive projects, interdependencies, and potential risks.
• Good judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information in compliance with established policies and practices.
• Ability to engage effectively with all levels within the organization.
