This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Report directly to the Senior Director of Revenue.
• Assess customer contracts and provide well-founded solutions to close sales opportunities while considering appropriate revenue recognition.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes concerning revenue recognition and current standards.
• Analyze and review accounts and accounting cycles.
• Prepare and evaluate balance sheet reconciliations and document accounting workflows related to revenue.
• Prepare analysis for the Revenue GL account.
• Generate balance sheet and P&L analysis for revenue accounts, including associated subledger details and waterfalls.
• Develop and update policies and procedures for the department.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and revenue accounting in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.
• Prepare financial reports and forecasts under guidance.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting and forecasting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning through thorough research and analysis.
• Conduct variance analysis and assist in enhancing forecasting tools.
• Construct models for revenue, expenses, and profitability.
• Collaborate with business units to collect, validate, and interpret financial data.
• Assist with both internal and external audit efforts.
• Develop, implement, and refine accounting processes and procedures within a SOX environment.
• Learn and utilize multiple ERP systems.
• 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in financial analysis and reporting within the industry or with a prominent public accounting firm.
• Solid financial background along with revenue recognition experience.
• Strong analytical and research capabilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of ASC 605 and ASC 606.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• CPA certification or equivalent experience is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Expertise in building financial and decision support models.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related position.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Advanced skills in Excel, including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, pivot tables, charts, data validation, and conditional formatting.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and its application in financial reporting.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Accounting and Operations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly present financial insights.
• Capable of working independently while contributing to team goals.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Ability to take ownership of financial processes, reporting, and analysis.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Finance MBA preferred as an additional asset.
• Intacct experience preferred as an additional asset.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
