This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +39 more states.
• Take ownership of recurring financial reporting responsibilities, ensuring both accuracy and timely delivery.
• Develop and uphold forecast models according to Kin's established methodologies and procedures.
• Oversee the full cycle of monthly and quarterly Finance reporting.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support state- and product-level growth strategy decisions.
• Implement process enhancements for regular reporting and forecast modeling workflows.
• Ensure data integrity and maintain documentation across forecast models and reporting tools.
• Monitor and report on key financial and operational metrics related to Kin's expansion into new states.
• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to improve forecasting and reporting standards.
• Assist in advancing Kin's homeowners insurance growth strategy and expanding into new states and markets.
• Report directly to the Director of FP&A.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or corporate finance.
• Proven experience in forecast modeling and recurring financial reporting.
• Expertise in building and maintaining financial models using Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience managing monthly and quarterly reporting cycles with limited supervision.
• Ability to interpret financial data into analyses that inform strategic decisions.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders outside the Finance department.
• Proficiency in financial planning and reporting tools such as Workday Financials, Adaptive Planning, NetSuite, Anaplan, or similar platforms.
• Background in insurance, fintech, or high-growth startups is preferred.
• Must reside and be able to work full-time in one of the designated U.S. states.
