Senior Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Facilitate the month-end closing process through reconciliations, accrual assessments, and variance analyses.

• Aid in the preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages.

• Uphold the integrity of the balance sheet and assist in audit and compliance activities.

• Ensure the precision of revenue, COGS, and operating expense classifications.

• Perform variance analysis across revenue, COGS, SG&A, and margin influencers.

• Generate recurring financial performance reports and dashboards.

• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes by preparing data and providing analytical insights.

• Assist in pricing analysis, profitability evaluations, and initiatives for cost optimization.

• Partner with sales and operations to confirm assumptions and clarify performance drivers.

• Discover opportunities to automate reporting processes and develop key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Enhance data integrity and financial controls.

• Convert financial data into actionable summaries for business stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent work experience.

• CPA certification.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a comparable position.

• Experience in the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry, ideally within the beverage sector.

• Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.

• Strong analytical abilities for interpreting financial data and identifying trends.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.

• High attention to detail to ensure accurate financial reporting.
