Senior Finance Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and manage Sage Intacct along with associated finance systems.

• Set up modules, workflows, reports, user access, role permissions, and system updates.

• Lead and facilitate integrations with Salesforce, payroll, procurement, banking, reporting, and other enterprise systems.

• Oversee data flows within finance systems and ensure the accuracy of system outputs.

• Aid in reconciliations and provide precise information for accounting, treasury, investments, and financial reporting.

• Spearhead initiatives for optimizing and automating finance systems.

• Enhance workflows, testing, reporting, and process efficiency while minimizing the use of manual spreadsheets and journal-entry workarounds.

• Administer ERP user roles, permissions, access governance, system controls, segregation of duties, and maintain audit-ready documentation.

• Collaborate with vendors, implementation partners, IT, and finance stakeholders on system modifications, issue resolution, integrations, testing, and user adoption.

• Offer system support and training to finance users.

• Diagnose and resolve system issues while providing reporting and process tools.

• Implement new systems as needed.

• Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, checklists, user guides, and documentation for systems and processes.

• Assist in the development of business intelligence, dashboards, and reporting.

• Coordinate finance requirements, data definitions, and enhancements to recurring management or operational reporting.

• Establish and oversee data quality monitoring, reporting governance, audit readiness, and compliance for finance systems and workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• 5-7 years of experience in supporting finance systems, ERP platforms, finance technology environments, system integrations, or finance transformation projects.

• Strong functional expertise in ERP systems, particularly Sage Intacct.

• Experience in supporting configuration, workflows, user access, reporting, testing, and system optimization.

• Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, financial close, reporting, controls, and data integrity.

• Experience collaborating with external implementation partners, consultants, technology vendors, IT teams, and finance users.

• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to translate operational finance needs into system functionalities.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Capacity to work independently while also being a collaborative team member.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cooperative, and dynamic team environment.

• Sage Intacct administration or certification is preferred.

• Experience in a nonprofit, social enterprise, or mission-driven organization is desirable.

• Familiarity with Sage Intacct, Vena, Salesforce, or UKG is a plus.
