Senior Finance Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and manage Sage Intacct along with related financial systems.

• Set up modules, workflows, reports, user access, and role permissions.

• Lead and assist with integrations involving Salesforce, payroll, procurement, banking, reporting, and other enterprise platforms.

• Oversee data flows within the finance system and ensure the accuracy of system outputs.

• Provide support for reconciliations and ensure accurate information for accounting, treasury, investments, and financial reporting.

• Spearhead initiatives for optimizing and automating finance systems.

• Enhance workflows, testing, reporting, and overall process efficiency.

• Minimize reliance on manual spreadsheets and journal-entry workarounds.

• Manage ERP user roles, permissions, access governance, system controls, segregation of duties, and maintain audit-ready documentation.

• Collaborate with vendors, implementation partners, IT, and finance stakeholders on system modifications, issue resolution, integrations, testing, and user training.

• Offer system support and training for finance users.

• Troubleshoot and provide insights on system functionality.

• Implement new projects and deliver reporting and process tools.

• Create and maintain SOPs, policies, checklists, user manuals, system documentation, and process documentation.

• Assist in the development of BI, dashboards, and reporting tools.

• Coordinate finance requirements, data definitions, reporting needs, and enhancements for recurring management or operational reporting.

• Establish and maintain data controls, monitor data quality, ensure reporting governance, and provide audit readiness and compliance support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• 5-7 years of experience in supporting finance systems, ERP platforms, finance technology environments, system integrations, or finance transformation projects.

• Strong functional understanding of ERP systems, with a preference for Sage Intacct.

• Experience in supporting configuration, workflows, user access, reporting, testing, and system optimization.

• Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, financial closing, reporting, controls, and data integrity.

• Experience collaborating with external implementation partners, consultants, technology vendors, IT teams, and finance users.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to translate finance operational needs into system functionalities.

• Proficiency in managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member.

• Experience in a fast-paced, cooperative, and dynamic team environment.

• Strong alignment with WES's mission and values.

• Preferably certified in or experienced with Sage Intacct.

• Experience in a nonprofit, social enterprise, or mission-oriented organization is desirable.

• Familiarity with Sage Intacct, Vena, Salesforce, or UKG is a plus.
