Senior Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assist Velocio managers by summarizing, presenting, and providing advice on financial matters.

• Convert intricate financial data into actionable insights to guide decisions, enhance performance, and boost profitability.

• Collaborate with company managers on recruiting Loan Originators through financial modeling, market analysis, and compensation guidance.

• Offer insights into long-term profitability and identify opportunities for sustainable recruitment strategies.

• Oversee company compensation agreements, adjustments to salary or cost-center bases, and the preparation of monthly commission, incentive, and override reports.

• Model branches to provide advice on profitability dynamics and align product margins and commission rates per market.

• Design, implement, and maintain financial reporting tools and dashboards.

• Prepare precise financial reports and KPIs for compensation-related purposes.

• Represent CHL in over 10 builder-division joint ventures and deliver financial reporting and support.

• Lead the annual budgeting process and mid-year forecasting in collaboration with senior management and joint-venture shareholders.

• Conduct ad hoc analyses and reports to meet emerging management requirements.

• Act as Velocio’s primary financial strategist by assessing results, operations, compensation, staffing, pricing, and market trends.

• Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and builder partners, driving approved initiatives forward.

• Enhance enterprise-wide KPI reporting, financial dashboards, and performance scorecards.

• Function as the senior finance liaison across production, operations, capital markets, accounting, and executive leadership.

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Strong comprehension of technology, encompassing both theory and practice.

• Excellent organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• Exceptional analytical skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

• Familiarity with the mortgage industry and mortgage-related financial concepts.

• Over 7 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis.

• More than 7 years of experience in mortgage sales, secondary markets, and financial modeling.
