Senior Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee Project Control functions, which encompass project initiation, budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition support, and monitoring financial performance within Deltek Costpoint.

• Manage the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) process, including the annual budgeting cycle, reforecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.

• Provide financial analysis and insights to facilitate strategic decision-making, enhance program performance, and support leadership reporting.

• Supervise Accounts Receivable operations, ensuring timely and precise billing, cash application, and collections.

• Lead and coordinate IDR financial activities, including tracking, reconciliation, and resolution with customers and internal teams.

• Ensure accurate customer and project setup to meet billing, revenue recognition, and contractual obligations.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models, forecasts, and dashboards to increase visibility into project and overall company performance.

• Establish, document, and uphold financial processes and internal controls related to Project Control, AR, IDR, and FP&A.

• Monitor adherence to company policies, contractual obligations, and relevant federal regulations.

• Support audits by preparing schedules, reports, and documentation, acting as a key contact for financial inquiries.

• Identify and implement process enhancements and automation opportunities to boost efficiency and mitigate risk.

• Lead, mentor, and develop team members within Project Control, AR, and IDR functions.

• Provide support for ad hoc financial analyses, special projects, and leadership initiatives as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, project control, or FP&A roles.

• Strong expertise in project-based accounting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

• Experience with Deltek Costpoint is highly preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

• Capability to analyze intricate financial data, recognize trends, and convey results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ability to tackle complex problems and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
