
Senior Finance Lead, Credit Card

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the Credit Card P&L, which includes monthly comparisons of forecasts to actuals, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Contribute to materials prepared for the board and executive team across the company.
• Act as the primary financial partner for the Credit Card leadership and participate in business-unit staff meetings.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities in real time, translating operational decisions into their financial implications.
• Develop and maintain the Credit Card unit economics model, which encompasses CAC, LTV, contribution margin, portfolio yield, delinquency, and loss curves.
• Assess new product offerings, pricing strategies, and credit line initiatives.
• Lead the Credit Card components of annual planning and quarterly reforecasts.
• Collaborate with Credit, Product, and Marketing to evaluate and size various initiatives.
• Convert model and portfolio performance into financial terminology for leadership.
• Recognize risks and opportunities while proactively suggesting strategic actions.
• Implement AI-driven workflows for reporting, variance analysis, and ad hoc modeling.
• Create and maintain dashboards and an automated reporting infrastructure.
• Over 6 years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, business operations, management consulting, or investment banking.
• Strong preference for candidates with lending, credit card, or consumer finance experience.
• Proven track record of managing a P&L or the financial narrative of a business unit at a senior level.
• Direct interaction with business unit and executive leadership is essential.
• Robust skills in unit economics and financial modeling.
• Ideally, experience with credit/lending economics, including loss rates, yield, and CAC/LTV.
• Proficient in SQL.
• Hands-on experience utilizing AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot to enhance efficiency in financial analysis or reporting.
• Background in building and scaling AI-supported analysis workflows.
• Proven capability to build trust and influence among product, credit/risk, and marketing leaders.
• Resourceful and detail-oriented, with a hands-on approach.
• Exceptional strategic thinking skills and the ability to independently structure ambiguous problems with minimal oversight.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Comfortable presenting to senior, executive, and board-level audiences.
• An advanced degree (MBA or similar) is preferred.
• Experience working in international markets or with global/multi-currency businesses is a plus.
