Senior Finance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Create, maintain, and update spreadsheets and cost models in Excel for effective resource planning, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

• Develop monthly reporting packages that compare actual financial results with budgets for internal management assessment.

• Analyze cost variances and work alongside business unit stakeholders to pinpoint root causes and opportunities for cost reduction.

• Identify, evaluate, and monitor KPIs along with operational and financial metrics.

• Conduct spontaneous budgetary investigations as needed.

• Recognize opportunities for continuous improvement in reports and processes.

• Enhance report content while streamlining the production and distribution process.

• Resolve reporting issues and address data anomalies.

• Create concise, organized, professional, and easily modifiable reports for distribution.

• Contribute to the organization’s financial health by performing critical analyses that identify cost-saving and process-streamlining opportunities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work or military experience.

• Two years of experience in audit, accounting, or FP&A.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with advanced Excel skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Four years of relevant experience, including budgeting and forecasting.

• Capacity to quickly learn and attain proficiency in new software applications.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to present clear, organized, and comprehensive information suitable for the intended audience.

• Skill in developing insightful, value-added, and actionable analyses with detailed explanations regarding the drivers of results.

• Competence in producing clear, comprehensive, and accurate interpretations.

• Self-motivated work style.

• Ability to function effectively with minimal supervision or within a team setting.

• May be required to pass a pre-employment drug test.
