This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Serve as a HUD Technical Specialist, responsible for troubleshooting, testing, repair, and demonstrations.
• Travel to client locations to assess the sustainment and support requirements of customers operating F-16s, F/A-18s, F-15s, V-22s, AH-64s, and various other platforms.
• Provide recommendations on repairs, spare parts, and testing equipment to enhance customers’ operational readiness for HUDs and other avionics.
• Offer technical assistance to O-level customers for the testing and evaluation of avionics, which includes Head Up Displays (HUDs), Multi-Function Displays (MFDs), Fire Control Radars, Electronic Warfare Systems, Communication/Navigation systems, and other electronic systems.
• Identify, qualify, and assist in capturing new business opportunities with both US and international clients pertaining to HUDs and avionics sustainment.
• Engage in the creation and delivery of training programs for both customers and team members.
• Document and report on system performance, issues, and solutions for ongoing improvement.
• Build and maintain direct, personal relationships with key customers.
• Foster and maintain relationships with essential personnel within ESA and ESL.
• Continuously evaluate ES Aftermarket capabilities against customer needs and specifications.
• Review and suggest partnerships for ESA Aftermarket with ESL and/or other companies where potential new business opportunities arise.
• Work collaboratively with engineering teams to assist in the design and execution of system modifications.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology and/or over 10 years of experience in avionics repair and troubleshooting on F-16 or comparable military aircraft.
• Significant experience in operational level testing and troubleshooting of avionics systems on the F-16 or similar platforms, including HUDs, MFDs, Communication/Navigation, Radars, and Electronic Warfare systems.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and test equipment associated with avionics systems.
• Understanding of military standards and protocols relevant to HUDs, Displays, avionics, radar, and electronic warfare systems.
• Experience in system integration and testing of complex electronic systems.
• Relevant certifications in technologies or systems are advantageous.
• Extensive travel (over 50%) is required to visit customer sites in the US and international locations, including the Middle East, Asia, South America, and Europe.
