Senior Field Security Investigator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Carry out inquiries into suspected fraud or unlawful activities against the Company, which includes conducting interviews, performing database searches, taking statements, and identifying sources of information and witnesses.

• Duties encompass assessing information to ascertain its reliability, referring cases, and coordinating investigation tasks with external agencies.

• Offer training and assistance to all departments concerning the claims handling procedure.

⛳️ Requirements

• An associate or bachelor's degree in criminal justice or a related field, or five years of experience in insurance claims investigations (which includes TCR1, TCR2, CU, PIP technical, and/or PIP litigation desk experience), professional investigation experience with law enforcement agencies, or seven years of professional investigative experience related to economic or insurance matters.

• Proven experience in managing in-person or telephonic statements from various parties involved in an investigation, ensuring the enhancement of GEICO’s customer base and promoting customer satisfaction through efficient, accurate, and courteous interactions.

• Capable of collecting a wide range of evidence pertinent to an investigation and formulating conclusions based on the acquired information relevant to the fraud investigation.

• Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize investigative workloads and manage stressful situations effectively.

• Must consistently maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.

• Required to document files clearly, concisely, and professionally, ensuring comprehension by customers, clients, colleagues, and other organizational employees.

• Must be able to obtain and retain a valid driver’s license, certifications, and permits in compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company and departmental standards.

• Must have the capability to lift and carry materials and equipment, transporting them to and from vehicles and up and down steps.

• Must be able to climb on, off, in, around, and under vehicles, including but not limited to RVs and commercial vehicles.

• Must exercise caution and maintain awareness of surroundings while carrying out the essential duties of the position.

• Must be able to learn and apply substantial amounts of technical and procedural information.

• Knowledge of city, state, and local regulations, legal concepts, case law, medical treatments, and medical terminology is essential.
