This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the operational lead for designated events.
• Organize and implement conferences and trade shows, particularly for inaugural year events.
• Formulate event strategies that align with business, branding, audience, and revenue goals.
• Set event objectives, timelines, operational plans, and milestones in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Assess event performance and propose opportunities for growth, optimization, or rebranding.
• Manage event expense budgets while collaborating on revenue and profit targets.
• Create forecasts and oversee expenses throughout the planning process.
• Enhance event profitability through strategic sourcing, purchasing, vendor consolidation, and appropriate spending adjustments.
• Oversee comprehensive event operations from initial planning to onsite execution and post-event analysis.
• Handle venues, accommodations, room blocks, meeting spaces, floor plans, catering, production, signage, transportation, staffing, and vendor relations.
• Keep track of event timelines, production schedules, floor plans, agendas, and operational documentation.
• Serve as the senior onsite leader and address operational challenges.
• Act as the primary operational contact for designated events.
• Facilitate cross-functional planning meetings with Sales, Marketing, Content, Registration, and other involved parties.
• Define roles, responsibilities, deadlines, and accountability across event teams.
• Cultivate organizational relationships and address conflicting priorities.
• Over 7 years of progressive experience in event management, particularly with conferences and trade shows.
• Proven ability to independently manage complex events involving multiple stakeholders.
• Strong financial expertise with experience in managing event budgets, forecasts, and profitability.
• Experience in managing hotels, venues, production partners, general service contractors, and other event vendors.
• Solid understanding of sponsorship and exhibitor operations.
• Familiarity with event technology and registration platforms; experience with Cvent is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple events simultaneously at various planning stages.
• Strong skills in project management, organization, negotiation, and problem-solving.
• Capability to translate business goals into actionable event strategies.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and finance-level budget discipline.
• Willingness to travel extensively to attend events across portfolios.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Availability for regular travel and extended hours during event execution as needed.
