This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +34 more states.
• Develop and implement a data-driven, customer-centric commercial events strategy for the Philips Image Guided Therapy Devices division.
• Oversee the daily operations of a portfolio that includes over 80 internal meetings, around 200 Medical Education events, and more than 225 tradeshows each year.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and marketing executives to guide investments, design events, and engage with customers and the market.
• Establish systems to manage investments, assess show impacts, and facilitate cross-business reporting.
• Lead, mentor, and nurture a team of 11 event professionals.
• Work alongside Key Opinion Leaders, Society Engagement, business unit marketing, sales and market leadership, medical education, and finance teams.
• Oversee approximately $4.5 million in direct variable expenditures and influence an additional $7 million in indirect costs.
• Travel to priority events as required.
• Provide strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Over 10 years of experience in event strategy, commercial marketing, or marketing operations.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in leading and developing teams.
• Proven experience in managing individual event budgets and complex portfolio-wide functional budgets.
• Strong financial acumen and demonstrated capability in budget management.
• Ability to quantify and demonstrate the business impact of tradeshows and events through clear KPIs.
• Proficient in developing an events strategy from inception.
• Practical experience with event management software; familiarity with AI is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Capability to fulfill minimum physical, cognitive, and environmental job requirements with or without accommodation.
• Demonstrated emotional intelligence in leadership and executive presence.
• Excellent collaboration skills across different Business Units.
• Extensive operational knowledge in events.
• Ability to make strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to key events as necessary.
