This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, map existing workflows, and design Epic builds that align with operational objectives and policies.
• Develop and maintain specifications, decision logs, and design documents to ensure clear traceability and effective change management.
• Perform gap analyses to determine necessary configuration or workflow modifications for upgrades, regulatory changes, or new initiatives.
• Oversee smaller projects related to system implementations and upgrades.
• Generate and maintain thorough documentation for system configurations and processes.
• Provide mentorship to junior analysts and offer guidance on best practices.
• Configure records, master files, and tools in accordance with approved designs.
• Ensure environment consistency and comply with change management and build naming conventions.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and UAT test plans; log and resolve defects; document testing evidence.
• Validate interfaces, printing, reporting, and downstream workflows; ensure regression coverage during upgrades.
• Coordinate release management, environment transitions, and downtime procedures for upgrades and patches.
• Offer go-live and post-live hypercare support, including rounding, office hours, tip sheets, and on-site assistance.
• Manage service requests and incidents promptly; meet SLAs through effective triage and root-cause analysis.
• Work collaboratively with IT and clinical teams to ensure integration across the IT portfolio with other systems.
• Maintain data integrity and ensure consistent metric definitions across modules and stakeholders.
• Integrate privacy and security controls, including sensitive record handling and audit trails.
• Assist with regulatory readiness, audit requirements, and policy compliance.
• Design and implement tailored training programs aligned with organizational strategy and operational objectives.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in system analysis and support within a healthcare setting.
• Alternatively, 10+ years of experience in system analysis and support within a healthcare environment if a degree is not held.
• Experience with Epic application(s) and healthcare workflows, including clinical, revenue cycle, or IT experience.
• Strong skills in requirements gathering, workflow design, and testing.
• Familiarity with ITIL, change control, SDLC practices, system governance, and both waterfall and agile project methodologies.
• Ability to effectively communicate with clinical and operational stakeholders as well as managed service providers, producing clear documentation.
• Proven experience in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams.
• Epic Training Environment Build certification and 3+ years of experience (for Application Training role).
• Two Epic Application Principal Trainer certifications (for Application Training role).
• Current Epic Certification or proficiency in one or more relevant modules (for Application Build role).
• 3+ years of Epic build and configuration experience (for Application Build role).
• Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity (for Application Build role).
• Experience in system integration, HL7, FHIR, and interface testing (for Application Build role).
• Familiarity with SQL/Clarity, Caboodle, SlicerDicer, or reporting tools (e.g., Radar, Reporting Workbench) (for Application Build role).
• Previous work experience in patient access, billing, coding, finance, or clinical operations (for respective modules) (for Application Build role).
