Senior Epic Application Analyst, HIM-Identity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Enhance the functionality and operational effectiveness of Information Systems by leveraging expertise in Epic Applications.

• Conduct intermediate to advanced analysis, design, configuration, construction, testing, and implementation of Epic applications and integrated technologies.

• Convert user and departmental needs regarding the Epic system into technical solutions.

• Carry out project evaluations and process walkthroughs that incorporate technical, clinical, and business solutions.

• Offer technical expertise to support Epic, software applications, and operating systems.

• Utilize information systems theories, processes, and methodologies.

• Promote and uphold standards for technical development, application support, and information management.

• Assist in development projects and tackle complex problem-solving tasks involving Epic and other applications.

• Take part in a rotating after-hours technical support schedule and provide ongoing support to Epic users.

• Plan, prioritize, and execute projects in accordance with established schedules and timelines.

• Oversee assigned projects and document/report on plans, priorities, schedules, and project status to the Manager.

• Aid in the preparation and delivery of training sessions for staff.

• Deliver customer service and address issues or requests from customers.

• Ensure safe care while adhering to Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, standards, budget, time, supply, productivity, and quality requirements.

• Foster professional growth and development while serving as a preceptor, mentor, and resource for less experienced staff.

• Execute other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree is preferred.

• Epic Certification is mandatory.

• A minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in large corporate systems development and implementation within Healthcare Information Systems or equivalent experience in system analysis, design, building, testing, and implementation, or a mix of MIS and working knowledge of hospital operations is required.

• Industry training and progressively responsible experience with knowledge and skills in a large, complex corporate Information System.

• Previous experience with Epic or other Health Information Systems is required.

• Proven experience in supporting complex issues.

• Experience in assisting fellow Analysts.

• Intermediate to advanced understanding of Epic application support, development tools, and methodologies.

• Strong analytical skills and technical aptitude.

• Proficient planning and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer service abilities.
