This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +4 more states.
• Convert business requirements into technical system solutions and architectural frameworks.
• Synchronize business vision, technology strategy, and enterprise standards.
• Achieve essential business results and formulate technology strategies utilizing IT resources.
• Mentor and support enterprise, solution, technology, and system architects throughout Humana.
• Represent the business within IT, ensuring technology execution aligns with business strategies.
• Participate in enterprise technology modernization projects in collaboration with application teams and business and IT stakeholders.
• Guide pattern-based development with an emphasis on optimizing resources and costs.
• Promote the adoption of lean enterprise architecture within an agile delivery framework.
• Align business vision and strategy with value streams, business capabilities, and functions.
• Document current-state architecture, value streams, and domain capability models.
• Implement portfolio rationalization to unveil innovation opportunities while minimizing risk, complexity, and overall operating costs.
• Establish and uphold technology strategies, including both intermediate and end-state architectures.
• Lead initiatives for application modernization, including the rearchitecting of legacy mainframe, standalone, and web-based applications.
• Facilitate cloud everything-as-a-service, encompassing IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms.
• Maintain and reaffirm architecture standards and policies, creating user-friendly documentation.
• Develop application cost models and dashboards grounded in resource utilization and licensing expenses.
• Assess new technologies and platforms, crafting architecture standards accordingly.
• Choose and apply cloud services, technologies, tools, methodologies, and solutions that align with organizational strategy.
• Mentor application teams on enterprise data-use standards and non-functional requirements such as logging, auditing, and end-to-end observability.
• Assist application teams through enterprise governance processes and provide implementation support.
• Report to the Director of Enterprise Architecture.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and testing software applications.
• Extensive experience as a senior architect or technical lead in large IT projects that encompass multiple enterprise systems.
• Master's Degree is preferred.
• Reliable home internet connection with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed.
• A dedicated workspace that ensures no interruptions, safeguarding member PHI/HIPAA information.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Humana offices for training or meetings.
