This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Develop, oversee, and implement a territory Go-to-Market strategy to ensure Fastly achieves its ongoing growth targets in your region.
• Responsible for driving pipeline, sales, revenue, and achieving or surpassing quota objectives.
• Manage all stages of the sales cycle from initiation to completion, both internally and externally, including: prospecting, discovery, Proof of Concepts, value proposition positioning and pricing, contract finalization, and account management.
• You will utilize a consultative selling approach with client stakeholders to meet the business needs related to hybrid cloud computing and isolated legacy IT systems across the Fastly product suite.
• Collaborate closely with Fastly sales partners in the sales territory and the channel team within Fastly Networks.
• Execute demand generation initiatives such as happy hours, lunch-n-learns, and technology forums; Capable of directing, developing, and managing a Demand Creation campaign for the territory that encompasses all facets of marketing, PR, and pipeline development.
• Prepare and lead proposals, quotes, and contracts. Utilize SFDC and other sales tools to manage accounts/contacts, forecast opportunities, track prospecting activities, and compile target lists using reports.
• Direct field experience and a broad network of key contacts within your territory.
• Experience with security technologies, content delivery network services, web analytics, website performance, cloud storage, mobile content delivery, or managed web hosting is highly preferred.
• A proven history of effective outbound prospecting, managing complex enterprise sales cycles, and accurate pipeline management and forecasting.
• Familiarity with current industry trends and the ability to speak authoritatively about the role of SaaS.
• Strong work ethic and a winning mindset.
• Proven ability to navigate End User requirements definition through the contracting and resale processes is essential.
• Independent and self-disciplined, yet capable of collaborating effectively as part of a team.
• The candidate should possess a passion for storytelling and the ability to present the Fastly narrative convincingly.
• Technical knowledge or a technical background is highly advantageous.
• Fluency in German and English is essential.
