Senior Engineering Manager – Servicing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing engineering team dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions and continuously improving.

• Promote a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation, ongoing learning, and excellence.

• Supervise the design, development, and execution of cross-functional projects that drive business results.

• Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of customer-facing products by utilizing best practices in software engineering.

• Work in tandem with architecture and infrastructure teams to ensure alignment with overarching engineering objectives.

• Collaborate with product managers, product designers, and engineering leaders across Upstart, as well as legal, operations, analytics, and compliance teams to gather requirements and ensure solutions address business needs and comply with regulatory standards.

• Effectively communicate with stakeholders to keep them updated on project status, risks, and opportunities.

• Manage project timelines and resources to deliver top-quality product solutions within set deadlines.

• Implement frameworks to facilitate efficient project execution and continuous delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent) with over 10 years of experience, including 5 years in direct people management.

• Proven track record of leading and expanding high-performing engineering teams (e.g., increasing headcount, enhancing delivery metrics, or managing multiple squads).

• Experienced in workflow automation, data integrations, and event-driven architectures that enhance operational efficiency.

• Demonstrated capability to closely partner with Product and Machine Learning teams to deploy models at scale and develop scalable, production-ready systems.

• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic thinking abilities, with a proactive approach.
