This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee a team of engineers with diverse expertise (backend & frontend, across multiple platforms).
• Collaborate closely with the Product team to design and implement product improvements that deliver value to both fans and enterprise clients, including prioritization and planning phases.
• Lead the team in enhancing operational and engineering best practices to ensure smooth development processes.
• Offer regular feedback on job performance, conduct one-on-one meetings, and support career development for your direct reports.
• Cultivate a vibrant, inclusive, and empowering atmosphere where engineers are motivated to address complex challenges and accelerate their professional growth.
• Actively participate in our recruitment efforts to help expand our engineering team in various capacities.
• Conduct code reviews and offer technical and design insights to the team.
• Effectively communicate technical and product decisions to relevant stakeholders, resolve obstacles, and collaborate with other leaders throughout the organization.
• A minimum of 3 years experience as an engineering manager leading productive, motivated teams.
• At least 5 years of experience as an engineer with a focus on coding.
• A strong foundation of technical expertise that serves as a benchmark for your team.
• Familiarity with the technology sector to guide your team in making informed decisions regarding tools and frameworks, facilitating their success.
• Ability to lead by establishing context and promoting collaboration among cross-functional partners in product, design, engineering, and leadership.
• Engineering experience with a product-focused mindset, particularly with solutions that encompass native mobile, web, and backend systems.
• Experience with both consumer and enterprise products, as this role uniquely addresses fan experiences and rightsholder interactions.
• Background in the sports technology sector is preferred but not mandatory.
• Candidates must be located on the East Coast, with a preference for those residing in the New York City area.
