Senior Engineering Manager, Security & IT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Integrate and enhance security, IT, and compliance through a comprehensive strategy, standardized practices, risk communication, and an adaptable roadmap.

• Take ownership of Fingerprint’s application security posture, encompassing vulnerability management, penetration testing, security assessments, security-by-default methodologies, and zero-trust principles.

• Develop and advance the compliance program, focusing on evidence gathering and preparing for future framework requirements.

• Ensure dependable IT operations for a globally distributed engineering team, managing tools, processes, access control, endpoint management, and system reliability.

• Represent Fingerprint’s security and compliance stance to enterprise clients, potential customers, partners, auditors, and executive leadership.

• Define and oversee the application security roadmap and the vendor security evaluation process.

• Manage the annual SOC 2 Type 2 audit cycle and the associated policy framework.

• Supervise the Compliance Lead and the Lead IT Engineer.

• Convey the security posture, compliance status, and IT health to the VP of Engineering.

• Collaborate with Cloud Platform and Engineering leadership on infrastructure security and security practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in security, IT, or GRC.

• At least 3 years in a managerial role.

• Proficient understanding of application security, IT operations, and compliance/GRC.

• Familiarity with OWASP.

• Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Snyk or similar.

• Background in security review processes for engineering teams.

• Experience with identity and access management solutions like Okta or equivalent.

• Proficient in endpoint management.

• Experience in managing IT for a remote workforce at scale.

• Ability to translate complex security and compliance topics into business-friendly language for leadership and clients.

• Preferred: Experience owning SOC 2 processes.

• Preferred: Knowledge of ISO 27001, GDPR, or HIPAA.

• Preferred: Familiarity with tools such as Snyk, Wiz, Cloudflare, and Okta.

• Preferred: Experience with enterprise security questionnaires.

• Preferred: Background in a high-growth SaaS environment.
