Senior Engineering Manager – Rendering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and mentor a globally distributed team of senior rendering engineers specializing in realtime rendering, GPU and shader development, streaming graphics, and the integration of radiance field research.

• Drive daily delivery initiatives by balancing priorities, addressing bottlenecks, and ensuring engineering velocity and output quality.

• Own and advance the technical strategy of the renderer across graphics APIs, platforms, fidelity, and performance trade-offs.

• Shape engineering practices and culture, focusing on design review, code health, and project management.

• Collaborate with Scene Reconstruction and R&D teams to translate research advancements into improved product image quality and performance.

• Work alongside Product and Integrations teams to convert rendering capabilities into valuable features for customers.

• Ensure a positive developer experience through well-structured APIs, SDKs, samples, and documentation.

• Oversee a codebase that includes C++, shading languages, TypeScript/WebAssembly, Swift, and C#/Unity for web, mobile, desktop, and headset platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading realtime graphics engineers.

• Successfully shipped production renderers, engine subsystems, or GPU-intensive products as a lead or manager.

• Hands-on expertise with radiance fields, Gaussian splatting, or neural rendering techniques.

• Strong technical depth and sound judgment in rendering.

• Solid understanding of C++, shading languages, and rendering pipeline concepts.

• Architectural capability to maintain a single renderer across various platforms and APIs.

• Experience mentoring engineers at different levels, delivering direct feedback, and establishing effective team structures.

• Excellent written and asynchronous communication skills.

• Ability to manage a team across nine time zones and convert rendering trade-offs into product decisions.

• Comfortable with an autonomous work environment and ownership mentality.
