Engineering Manager – Energy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Provide technical leadership and architectural direction for systems developed using .NET (C#), legacy Delphi, and AWS-native services.

• Spearhead modernization initiatives, including the migration of legacy workloads to AWS serverless and managed cloud services.

• Oversee, mentor, and develop a diverse team of software engineers.

• Encourage collaboration, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with Product Management to ensure alignment on priorities, roadmaps, and delivery goals.

• Take ownership of end-to-end delivery of features and platform capabilities, encompassing Agile ceremonies, sprint execution, and production readiness.

• Guarantee that systems comply with DTN standards for security, reliability, scalability, observability, and operational excellence.

• Advocate for monitoring, incident response, root-cause analysis, and ongoing improvement.

• Work alongside Product, DevOps, and cross-functional teams to provide secure, scalable, and reliable systems that support DTN customers and business objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of engineering leadership or technical team lead experience.

• At least 7 years of professional software development experience.

• Strong practical knowledge in .NET (C#) enterprise application development.

• Experience in supporting or modernizing legacy Delphi systems.

• Background in building and managing cloud-native systems on AWS, including Lambda, RDS, and S3.

• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Familiarity with contemporary DevOps practices.

• Proven track record of leading teams that deliver distributed, event-driven, mission-critical systems.

• Strong grasp of Agile development methodologies and cloud-native architecture.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across product, engineering, and operations teams.

• Experience in Energy, Fuels, Logistics, or data-driven platforms is an advantage.
