Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and guide a diverse engineering team specializing in Java, PL/SQL, QA, and DevOps.

• Establish prioritization and escalation pathways to minimize reliance on senior management.

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery processes, focusing on quality, timelines, and operational efficiency.

• Provide hands-on technical support in Java, database systems, Oracle/PL-SQL, and architecture planning/design evaluations.

• Align engineering efforts with strategic IT goals and the long-term technology roadmap.

• Implement governance for tracking progress, ensuring visibility through Jira and Minutes of Meeting (MoM), incident root cause analysis (RCA), and release management.

• Drive process enhancements to transition efforts from operational tasks to strategic initiatives.

• Manage risks and proactively remove obstacles for teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 12–18+ years of experience in software engineering.

• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, database architecture, Oracle/PL-SQL, and system design.

• Proven history of successful project delivery, technical oversight, and architecture governance.

• Familiarity with cloud technologies, CI/CD, and DevOps methodologies.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.

• Knowledge of healthcare and compliance, including HIPAA and SOC2, is advantageous.

• Experience in the healthcare domain is preferred.

• Experience developing HIPAA-compliant applications.

• Background in leading multiple product teams.

• Onshore location is preferred or required.
